
Meet the Teacher
Teresa Gee, BCBA, M.Ed.

Teresa Gee has lived in Niceville for over 10 years with her husband and 3 daughters. She is a Maryland native and spent 7 years living overseas living prior to moving to Florida due to the military. She has a master’s degree in special education and applied behavioral analysis from UWF. While living in the area, she spent 10 years teaching at both public and private schools focusing on special needs students. During that time she, taught grades PK- 5 and worked with students of various skill levels and needs in self contained ESE classrooms. She is certified in Orton Gillingham that uses a multi sensory approach to teach reading. Currently, she works at a local autism center providing ABA therapy to autistic children. She is passionate about helping students find confidence, helping them love learning, and taking them as far as they can go at their pace.
Teresa Gee is a certified Orton-Gillingham instructor with over 15 years of experience helping students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. Her passion for structured literacy began when she discovered how transformative the right teaching approach could be for struggling readers.
With specialized training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, Teresa creates a supportive and engaging learning environment where children build confidence while developing strong reading and spelling skills. Her students consistently show significant improvement in reading fluency, comprehension, and overall academic performance.
Teresa's warm and encouraging teaching style helps students feel comfortable taking risks and celebrating their progress, no matter how small. She believes that with the right tools and support, every child can become a successful reader.
