Caryn Swierzbin

Spanish K-12

Caryn Swierzbin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Spanish as well as a Master of Arts degree in Contemporary Cultural Communications. She began her career teaching Spanish before she became a United States Peace Corps Volunteer and taught English as a Second Language (TEFL) in Cape Verde, West Africa. Some years after returning to the United States, Caryn also taught Spanish with the District of Columbia Public Schools. She has been working in Education for over 15 years but most of her experience has been managing Early Childhood Education programs, specifically Head Start. Caryn is passionate about working with children and families, including pregnant women. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and visiting her friends that live throughout the United States, including Portugal and Brazil.
