Dawn Watson
K-12 ELA
I have 10 years experience in teaching. I received my AA from NWFSC and my Bachelor's degree from UWF in elementary education K-6. My degree has a reading and ESOL endorsement. I taught elementary for 3 years, 2 years in 1st and one year in 4th. Thanks to the reading endorsement on my degree, I finally found my niche in high school as the intensive reading teacher. The 1st year, I was a pullout teacher where I only taught 1 to 5 students at a time. I feel as though that setting makes it perfect for me to be a tutor for your child. For the last 4 years I've been in a classroom with a diversity of students having a blast in my teachings.
As a reading teacher I cover all the basics from language arts, to reading comprehension, and writing. I've taught 11th graders and prepared them for ACT testing. It was a wonderful learning experience for me and I have hopes to share my knowledge with your student. I currently teach 9th and 10th graders with the hopes of giving them everything they need to walk across that stage in 2 to 3 years.
When I'm not in the classroom, I'm hanging out with my husband of 33 years and our 17 year old son who is a junior at Milton High School where I teach.
