Elissa Miller, M.A.
Test Prep
Elissa is a 6-12 certified social science teacher, specializing in history, at a charter high school. She holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Florida and an M.A. in History from the University of Alabama. She is a published author in the Journal of Sport History. Elissa has spent the past four years teaching high school students and coaching Academic Team, and her professional strengths include document analysis, academic writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and test preparation.
Elissa believes that all students can achieve their academic goals with the right support system, and she prides herself in her ability to make students feel comfortable and confident in their abilities. She has joined the Niceville Tutoring team to work with students in a one-on-one environment where she can establish a relationship with the student, assess their learning style and strengths/weaknesses, and tailor their education to their personal needs.
Elissa is a Florida Gator who understands the importance of GPA and test scores in the college admissions process, and she has a passion for helping students achieve their academic and life goals. Elissa moved to Walton County in 2022 with her husband, who is a Walton County native. She enjoys reading, sports, and spending time outside with her husband and son.Â
