After tutoring peers through high school and college and spending three years managing restaurants and leading training classes, Katie discovered tutoring as the calling she almost missed. Now five years into her tutoring career, she works with students of all grade levels to improve reading, writing, and math skills, build confidence, and reach their goals for major exams including SAT, ACT, ISEE, HSPT, SSAT, and PSAT. She also specializes in AP Language and Composition and AP English Literature and Composition.

As a homeschooling mom, she knows that every student learns differently and meets them where they are. She uses positive language to help students navigate challenges and see opportunities for growth as part of the learning process. With humor and support, she helps students push through difficulties and gain confidence.

Katie's family has lived in the area for eight years and includes her husband, a restaurant area manager; their adventurous daughter and son; two shy cats; seven energetic chickens; and one rambunctious 75-pound Great Pyrenees puppy.

When not herding cats, chickens, and children, Katie can be found reading, bird watching, playing video games, and paddleboarding.
