Kentilya Lockemy
K-8 Reading and Math
My name is Kentilya Lockemy. I have taught in education for 20 years now. The bulk of my teaching experience has been in Kindergarten teaching the fundamentals of learning, and the basics. I have since had the privilege to work with middle school and high-school. Completely different hat but I found whether helping them in class, preparing for testing, or just daily task my knowledge of the basics of education came in handy.
If I am not in the classroom then I am spending time with my family. My husband William is a HVAC technician and with him came six wonderful step children. Their ages range from my oldest who is 19 and the mother of my amazing grandson 2 year old who I’m obsessed with. To my 6 year old soccer playing, water loving, frog catching ball of energy. We have a son leaving for the Army and a daughter who cheers and is a full time dual enrollment student. Although two don’t live with me being their bonus mom is one of my favorite things!
My family will tell you we love our adventures but my favorite adventures are connecting students to the power of learning. Watching their eyes light up when concepts are conquered brings a joy to my heart. I would live to connect and help your child experience a love for learning.
