Kristin Fenwick

ELA for 6-12 & Test Prep

Kristin Fenwick has been a teacher since age six, when she began teaching lessons to her stuffed animals. She holds a BS in Education and an MA in English literature. Kristin is a certified secondary English teacher in her home state of Colorado, where she taught for 11 years, and she recently earned her Florida certification. She has been active in the public school, charter school, and homeschool communities, and looks forward to partnering with Niceville Tutoring families to foster student success in any educational environment.

Kristin is passionate about literature’s ability to teach social-emotional and practical skills and believes critical thinking and strong writing abilities are vital for all. She teaches with empathy and humor and is confident that all students can learn and grow with the right support. Her teaching strengths include literary analysis, academic writing for any subject, grammar, and test preparation. She believes those who claim they dislike reading simply haven’t yet found the right book!

Kristin moved to the Emerald Coast in 2025 with her husband, the Land Resources Manager for Okaloosa County, and her senior daughter, who will soon attend UWF. Her son is a business student at Colorado State University. Their family also includes a King Shepherd, a Siamese cat, and four snakes (her daughter’s love, not hers). She enjoys reading almost any genre, gardening, British period dramas, and exploring the beautiful outdoors. She is powered by hope and coffee!
