My name is Wendy Anderson, and I am a retired school teacher originally from CT but transplanted to Santa Rosa Beach in 1995. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Eastern CT State University with certification in grades K-6 and a Masters in Specific Learning Disabilities and Emotional Handicaps from FSU with certification in grades K-12. Additionally, I hold endorsements in ESOL and Reading.

I have always enjoyed working with young children, even at an early age. I decided to change career fields (from Civil Service), so that I could fulfill that passion. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I have spent 30 plus years teaching both regular education and special needs students here in Florida and in CT. I have been a regular classroom teacher, a co-teacher, an ESE teacher, and a reading teacher. I have experience teaching all subject areas at the elementary level through sixth grade. Since I have retired from Walton County, I have been working for private schools and tutoring. I enjoy staying busy and helping students become more confident with their learning.
